Dr. Alicia Lieberman is the Irving B. Harris Endowed Chair in Infant Mental Health and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs at UCSF’s Department of Psychiatry, where she also directs the Child Trauma Research Program. A clinical consultant with the San Francisco Human Services Agency, she has a prominent role in national organizations focused on early childhood mental health.

Dr. Lieberman is the director of the Early Trauma Treatment Network (ETTN), which aims to improve trauma services for children across the U.S. Her research focuses on infant mental health, attachment disorders, and mental health disparities. Trilingual and tricultural, she brings a rich, diverse perspective to her work with underserved families.
